Video and audio issues

  • To insure that audio in (your microphone) and audio out (speakers) and your camera are working, check your preferences prior to a meeting.
    • Mac: Lifesize Cloud Menu > Preferences > Devices
    • PC: File > Preferences > Devices
    • Google Chrome WebApp: Omnibox (Address bar) > Camera Icon
  • Checking video and audio:
    • Camera – set your device if you have more than one camera
    • Microphone
      • Set your mic device
      • Set the mic level – sometime they can’t hear you well on the other end. If so, don’t shout at your device, just adjust the mic level volume.
    • Speakers – you may have more than one set of speakers on your system. Select the speakers you wish to use and test them.

  • If you can, eliminate your Wifi connection and plug your computer into a hardwired connection.
  • If you think bandwidth may be an issue, use to collect your current download/upload bandwidth data.
    • Click the “Start” button
    • Record the Download Speed and Upload Speed to share with your LAN Manager
